VALVE
Water valves are designed to handle and control the flow of hot, cold, groundwater, potable water, brine and wastewater. Valves are part of a piping system that is used every day and can perform many different functions. Three common valve functions include opening/closing, regulation, and flow control.
Closed Valves: Valves used for systems that do not require regulated flow. The valve opens to allow flow and closes to stop flow.
Throttle: The throttle or control valve controls the speed and power flowing through the system.
Non-return valve: The valve does not return or check flow direction control. Flow in the desired direction opens the valve, while flow in the opposite direction closes the valve. These valves are important in preventing backflow to systems in applications such as wastewater management.
